Wickwire Pool

The Wickwire pool was built in Suggett Park in 1946.  It quickly became a gathering spot for children and an iconic symbol in the Cortland community.

However, after 60 years of service, it became obvious that major renovations were needed.

Aquattica Pools & Water Parks was hired to make the necessary improvements while maintaining the integrity of the original site.

The renovation provides handicap accessibility with a zero-to-four-foot shallow section and two-foot children’s play area with a spray feature.  A separated five-to-eight-foot deep area has eight competitive swim lanes and an  eight-foot access stair.  The facility features a completely new mechanical system and a large deck to accommodate tables and chairs.
